Air Ambulance NI donation - April 2025

As part of our charitable donations to local communities or charities, we at Abbey Credit Union proudly donated £500 to the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) charity.

Some quick facts you may not know:

• Air Ambulance NI is a charity in Northern Ireland and relies solely on public support to continue to operate.
• The air ambulance service is activated on average twice daily to those following a serious trauma or medical emergency when life or limb are in the balance.
• It costs approximately £7,000 per day to keep the service running. Thats a whopping £2.5 million per year.
